Classroom AssignmentsParents and Guardians,
Here at St. Patrick we strive to build responsibility, self-discipline and lifelong learning habits within our students. It is the intention of St. Patrick’s Middle School staff to assign relevant, challenging and meaningful assignments that reinforce learning objectives. In an effort to further prepare our middle school students for high school, we will be removing our 1 zero make up policy effective January 19th, 2016. Students will be required to submit all assignments when they are due and they will no longer be given the opportunity to make up a zero per nine weeks. Students are expected to turn work in on time. Students who miss homework because of an excused absence will receive the opportunity to make up missed work. Students are given two calendar days for each day absent plus one extra day to turn in their work. It is the students’ responsibility to get work missed due to illness or absence. We strive to ensure that our students leave St. Patrick Cathedral School fully prepared for what will be expected of them once they get to high school. The following are some strategies to further help students prepare for academic success here at St. Patrick Cathedral School: Responsibilities of Students:
